Launch NJ Life Sciences Hub ran a discussion on “Capitalization Tables and Taxable Events – be Aware of Implications” featuring accountants from Withum Smith + Brown on June 22. Jarrod Rhen and Shawn Henderson gave presentations and led a discussion on tax consequences of various seed, angel and venture capital agreement terms. Taryn Bostjancic and Bob Hutchins (partners at Withum) also participated. Launch NJ is a not-for-profit that promotes grass roots entrepreneurship, and the Life Sciences Hub aims to (1) provide a place to network so entrepreneurs can find the help needed to get started, and (2) provide talks and workshops to educate the community in the process.
